Tell a Story Only You Can Tell: Apply your knowledge of narrative structure, voice and tone, writing purpose, and drafting to create a personal digital story script.
- Pick a moment, memory, experience, or idea that is meaningful to you.
- Plan your narrative structure by using the classic story arc:
• Exposition
• Conflict
• Rising Action
• Climax
• Falling Action
• Resolution - Identify your purpose and tone by asking yourself:
• Why am I telling this story? (To inform, reflect, entertain, or persuade?)
• How do I want my audience to feel? - Write your first draft by focusing on your voice—make it sound like you.
- Revise and refine it by reading aloud or sharing with a classmate for feedback.
